Keratin is widely found in animal hair, wool, feathers, and nails. It is also a key structural protein in human hair, skin, and nails. After hydrolysis, the molecular weight is reduced and water solubility is improved, making it easy to incorporate into formulations with excellent affinity and film-forming properties.
